Introducing our new brand identity, Crowdo

The more eagle-eyed among you may have noticed the gradual changes that we’ve been making to our websites and social media channels. Today, we’d like to officially introduce our new brand, Crowdo.

Since we started back in 2012, our ambitions have grown, and along with that, so has our focus and our team. With our rapid expansion and new products, we felt it was a natural transition to rebrand ourselves to adapt to our bigger aspirations. We’ve come a long way from where we started, and today, we’ve achieved a lot (thanks to you all)!

Here’s some of our milestones:

  • We recently celebrated our 3rd birthday… making us the longest running crowdfunding start-up from Singapore.

  • We’re proud to say that we have ZERO cases of fraud.

  • We have a vibrant community of over 12,000 members (and counting!)

  • We’ve hosted crowdfunding campaigns from every continent in the world (except Antarctica), with contributions from over 50 different countries.

  • We reached 135K unique visitors/month

  • We have a few ‘first-to-world’ projects under our belt, including: the world’s first Telco-backed crowdfunding platform (Crowdtivate); the world’s first crowdfunding platform for projects positively impacting the Earth (Earth Hour Blue); the region’s first crowdfunding – entrepreneur reality TV show tie-up (with Channel News Asia).

  • We were selected among 27 applicants to be awarded a license to operate an equity crowdfunding platform in Malaysia – the first and only Singapore startup to achieve this status.

  • We’ve already received around 2,000 financing requests

  • We’ve also expanded to Indonesia with the launch of our Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Lending platform and have transacted over 200 loans

  • We’re now the only Southeast Asian crowdfunding operator to have a full portfolio of services, including peer-to-peer lending and equity-based crowdfunding, and white-label crowdfunding.

We’ve had the opportunity to share our crowdfunding expertise across the region at some major events, from Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and more.

So what does Crowdo mean?

Crowdo is not only a more concise and shortened version of our original Crowdonomic brand, but also embodies the true spirit of Crowdfunding – the ‘do’ of ‘Crowdo’ logo has been shaped to look like a ‘person’ symbolising the community element of Crowdfunding; a ‘keyhole’ symbolising the opportunities it is meant to unlock; and a ‘link’ to connect smart capital and entrepreneurs.
